Delivery & Risk Policy

Clear milestones, honest timelines and a fair sharing of responsibility on every project.

  • Milestone-based delivery
  • Honest, tracked timelines
  • Warranty after handover

Effective from 1 January 2026

1. How we deliver

Cortex IT Solution delivers services digitally — there is no physical shipping. Every project is broken into clearly defined milestones, and each milestone is delivered for your review through your client portal, email or a shared workspace.

  • Designs and documents are shared as review links and downloadable files.
  • Websites and applications are delivered to a staging (test) environment first, then to production after your approval.
  • Source code, credentials and documentation are handed over at final delivery, after full payment.

2. Timelines

Every proposal includes an estimated timeline. Timelines are calculated in working days and assume timely input from your side.

  • A milestone is considered delivered when it is shared with you for review, not when it is finally approved.
  • If feedback, content, approvals or access from your side are delayed, delivery dates move by the same amount of time.
  • If we are delayed on our side beyond the agreed timeline, we tell you immediately with a revised date and the reason.

3. Review and approval

Each delivered milestone includes a review window (usually 5 working days) for you to test and share feedback. Reasonable revisions within the agreed scope are included. If we do not hear back within the review window, the milestone is treated as approved so the project can keep moving.

4. What counts as final delivery

  • All agreed milestones completed and approved.
  • Final invoice settled in full.
  • Production deployment completed (where applicable).
  • Handover pack delivered: source code, admin credentials, documentation and licence details.

5. Risk sharing

Custom software work carries inherent risks. We manage them openly and share responsibility fairly:

  • Our responsibility: skilled delivery, secure coding practices, testing before handover, and fixing defects reported within the warranty period.
  • Shared responsibility: scope clarity — we flag ambiguities early, and you confirm requirements before build starts.
  • Your responsibility: accurate requirements, timely feedback, lawful content, and keeping your own third-party accounts (hosting, domains, app stores, payment gateways) in good standing.

6. Third-party dependencies

Modern products depend on third-party services — cloud providers, payment gateways, app stores, APIs and plugins. We are not responsible for outages, price changes, policy changes or discontinuation of third-party services, but we will always help you find an alternative or workaround.

7. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control — natural disasters, war, epidemics, government actions, major internet or power outages. In such cases, timelines are extended by the duration of the event, and either party may cancel unaffected remaining work with a fair settlement.

8. Warranty after delivery

Defects in our work reported within the warranty period stated in your contract (typically 30 days from final delivery) are fixed at no extra charge. The warranty does not cover changes made by others, new feature requests, or issues caused by hosting, third-party services or modifications on your side. Ongoing support is available under a separate support plan.
